Nze Mbimaze by Prisca Nakitto

Nze Mbimaze (which translates from Luganda as "I Have Finished It All" or "I Am Done With It") is a prominent, 80-page Luganda play (omuzannyo) written by Prisca Nakitto. First published in 2009, the play is a compulsory set book on the Uganda O-Level Curriculum for learners of Literature in Luganda. The play revolves around Harriet, a young female student who grows deeply frustrated and fed up with formal western education. Overwhelmed by the demands of school, she openly rebels and wishes she had been born in the pre-colonial, historical days when formal schooling did not exist.
